Client Service

Client service is a top priority at Penoyer Law Office. Communication is critical to clients and their success. I give straight-forward and prompt legal advice. I do not hand your file to a legal assistant to manage. I return phone calls promptly (usually within 24 hours or less) and I do everything I can to answer all of your questions. After your case is resolved, I can continue to help you find solutions for ongoing medical care or family needs on an informal or formal basis if it makes sense for everyone. I understand that the challenges in dealing with catastrophic loss continue long past resolution of a legal case.

Professional Ethics

I also make it a priority to provide my clients with professional and ethical advocacy. I take full responsibility for every aspect of representing a client. In the course of my representation, I will get to know your case better than anyone. Therefore, when I present your case to a judge, jury, mediator, arbitrator, insurance adjuster or opposing attorney, they will know that I’m giving them the complete and truthful account of the law and facts in your case. That is the right way to earn the best possible result for my client.

Attorney Dave Penoyer

I’m an experienced attorney with a license to practice law in all state courts in Oregon and California. I also hold a certificate to appear in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. I’m a longtime member of the American Association for Justice (formerly, American Trial Lawyers Association), the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and the Multnomah Bar Association. I also make a point to maintain professional contacts in many areas of law, including natural resources, business litigation, trust disputes, criminal law, employment law and product defect class actions.

As a practicing attorney in both Oregon and California, I’ve had the pleasure of helping hundreds of people seek and obtain just results after being harmed or injured by the carelessness of others. Over the years, I’ve represented clients in all phases of injury and death claims, from the early investigation and fact-gathering stage, all the way through trial. Based on many years of experience, I believe it is my duty to provide each client with the highest possible level of personal service and attention. If it’s in my client’s best-interest to collaborate with experts in niche areas of the law, then I will not hesitate to help assemble the right team of professionals for a client’s particular case. Of course, I’m committed to staying involved and remaining my client’s main point of contact until my client’s legal needs are met.

My formal education about the justice system started in undergraduate college where I graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice. Afterward, I attended Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. In law school, I was a Law Review editor for a journal called, Environmental Law, and I received various awards for legal writing and argument as well as earning my Juris Doctor degree.
